Onward Search has a fantastic new opportunity with a big beauty client. This opportunity is for an Assistant Manager with focus on Store Planning and Development that can start immediately onsite at our client’s office in New York City, NY. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in managing and implementing regional design standards for retail department store and freestanding store locations.
  • Work closely with landlords/retail partners and internal brand partners to drive adherence to schedule and budget.
  • Partner with internal key partners such as Indirect Procurement, Legal, Finance, Brand Sales, and Brand Global Store Design.
  • Work closely with external partners such as General Contractors, Architects, and Fixture Contractors to bid projects and assess project costs.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively on schedule and budget with brands and internal corporate entities on progress of shops.
  • Work with Landlords/Retail partners to ensure schedules are met and documentation is complete and timely.
  • Lead communications with architect vendors to ensure drawings are to ELC standards and clearly communicate the design intent to contractors.
  • Bid and award projects.
  • Review shop drawings, change orders, and generally manage projects per RDDC NA standards.
  • Assist in turnover of shores to the brands in a professional and clear manner.
  • Organize post-installation punch lists and follow through.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have 2 to 3 years of experience in beauty industry.
  • Experience in CAD draw plans is a must.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) is a must.
  • Must have 3D capabilities (SketchUp preferred).
  • Ability to produce high quality work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
