Our client, a small, independent full-service advertising agency is searching for an Associate Director of Social Media to join their team on a permanent basis.


  • Be the day-to-day leader of the Social Media team, acting as a steward for the agency's perspective on all projects, intake of briefs, and driving all presentations.
  • Own and run your team's client relationships which include weekly status meetings, presentations, meeting recaps, etc.
  • Create social media strategies for your clients
  • Hands-on activation of social media projects and acting as a leader to the community management team as needed - includes nights and weekends.
  • Own socially driven programs across influencer, sponsorships, and engagements.
  • Drive social support for activation and event programs.
  • Leverage your analytics partners to drive content and context to your work including the usage of research and insights.
  • Partner with internal teams across the account, creative and media to bring program execution to life including writing, creative direction, and analytics.
  • Oversee the community management and content development team - you will need to assist your community managers in the execution of their daily activity.
  • Develop and own content calendars and drive the realization of opportunistic post occasions - for these you will drive strategy, brainstorming, editing copy, and owning the voice as a client and agency representative piece.
  • Monitor the progress of your team's social media campaigns.


  • You have 6-8 years of Social Media experience in a relevant social agency environment.
  • A minimum of one position where you have been directly responsible for all social media functions for your clients.
  • Management experience is a must.
  • Exceptional writing skills including social media - must show in a portfolio.
  • Mastery of all social media functions, channels, paid media process, etc.
