Onward Search's client, an independent full-service advertising agency, is searching for an Associate Integrated Media Director to lead media planning and buying efforts on a range of Bourbon brand clients. This is a permanent role beginning as soon as possible on site in NYC or a 100% remote basis.


  • Reporting into the Media Director, you'll be leading the media planning and buying process for one of the largest bourbon brand portfolios.
  • You will translate your clients' strategy into a media strategy that spans integrated channels across traditional, digital and programmatic.
  • Media plan recommendations will be developed by you based on your evaluation of vehicles, their strengths, and weaknesses based on your client's objectives to target their audience.
  • You will oversee the execution of all media plans, their budgets, schedules, contracts, etc.
  • Act as the point of contact and lead with your clients, media partners, and our vendors.
  • Present to clients and integrated teams as our agency lead.
  • Act as the team lead in preparing and presenting all media plans, strategies, budgets, recaps, etc.
  • You will be an expert on the competitive environment including media, creative and industry trends.
  • Negotiate with media vendors, staying in close connection with your partners to ensure you are staying on the cutting edge as well as looking for cost-savings opportunities.


  • 5+ years of experience in media planning and buying across broadcast, digital and outdoor.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with media tools such as MRI, Bionic and Kantar.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Bonus if you have experience in brand sponsorships.
  • Strong meeting presence and client presentation skills.
  • Top-notch writing skills, organization/detail, relationship, and quantitative analytical skills.
  • You have a passion for the evolving media environment and how it can improve brands' communications.
