Onward Search's client, an independent full-service advertising agency, is searching for an Associate Social Media and Content Manager to lead the social media efforts on a range of Bourbon brand clients. This is a permanent role beginning as soon as possible on site in NYC.
Lead the social media efforts on a range of Bourbon brands across Community Management, Content Development, Client Management, and Monitoring/Measurement.
Personally own each brand's voice, actively engaging with consumers about the brand.
Lead scheduling of content and make sure that posts go live in a seamless fashion (includes weekends as necessary). This includes staying current on cultural conversations and advising on additional relevant opportunities to post.
Lead content development which includes ideating concepts, write post copy and recommend a creative direction to your creative team partners.
Work with the creative team in the development of social media assets, acting as the brand steward to meet brand guidelines, voice, and brief objectives.
You will have the opportunity to pitch ideas for new content, share community updates and report on post-performance.
Develop industry trend and competitive reports, and present these to the team and clients. This includes staying on top of competitors, liquor brands and lifestyle brands' social channels (e.g., GQ, Esquire, etc.)
You will be the point-person for your brands' social media needs across the internal agency and client teams.
Monitor the progress of your brands' posts to stay on track against objectives (e.g., impressions, engagements, etc.).
Partner with the analytics and media teams to ensure the performance of social content.
2+ years in a full-time Social Media role at a Marketing, Social, Digital or PR agency.
4-year college degree in Marketing, PR or a related Communications study.
Ability to show Community Management experience specifically with a CPG brand (e.g., writing, post scheduling and engaging with fans) - this could be a portfolio.
Solid knowledge and interest in men's lifestyle and interests with the ability to spot trends.
Bonus if you have experience working with spirits clients.
You have a passion for creating and writing concepts for this subject matter and audience.
You have client-facing experience.
You are personally active on multiple social channels and live an active social connection.
Strong grammar usage and attention to detail.
You love social media both professionally and personally.
You have a wealth of knowledge spanning the social media landscape and continue to educate on new trends.
Your social caption game is strong.
