As a user researcher focused on usability research, you will partner with our product and design teams to understand users and show rather than tell how we can improve their experiences. You will be responsible for leading and managing usability research studies across multiple teams and will help teams find specific opportunities and convey the information they need to effectively direct products to better serve users.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Usability & concept testing through moderated and unmoderated user sessions.
  • Creating study plans and discussion guides together with stakeholder teams.
  • Executing study plans, synthesizing findings, and communicating results.
  • Establish internal processes and create detailed materials to help shape and scale a rapid research program to support product development.
  • Work closely with design, product, and engineering stakeholders to create appropriate prototypes and testing materials.
  • Define, plan, and conduct usability studies on a sprint delivery cadence.
  • Report and communicate research findings to research partners and other stakeholders.

 

Qualifications:

  • Have 1-3 years’ experience in research roles in consumer-focused companies with expertise in usability research to inform the development of new features and products.
  • Hold a degree in Psychology, Human Computer Interaction, Social Science or a related field, or the equivalent in years of professional experience.
  • Have demonstrated knowledge of usability heuristics and UX best practices, with experience across various methods, e.g., card sorting, prototype feedback and testing, and more.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and can easily connect with your partners in product, tech, business, and design.
  • An excellent communicator who is comfortable in a fast-moving organization.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently on a variety of tasks.
  • Have a passion for collaboration and for understanding our users and their interactions with our products.
  • A dedicated advocate of a user-centered approach to product development, while also balancing business needs.
