Onward Search is looking for a Senior Instructional Designer to join the Sales Enablement team at our prominent corporate client in the Perimeter area of Atlanta for a long-term contract opportunity!

Job Summary:

  • Under broad direction, designs and develops complex learning solutions for a Sales audience that can include learning solutions such as multi-day structured learning events, blended designs, non-linear designs, self-development designs, multiple course curricula, action learning, and media-based learning
  • May also leverage gamification, interactive multimedia, video micro learning, peer-to-peer learning, scenario-based learning and content curation
  • Manages the deliverables for a training solution and creates evaluation strategies for levels 1, 2 and 3
  • Designs for multiple sales-related retail audiences to include: inbound call center, retention, retail, multi-dwelling/single family unit, and 3rd Party Retail
  • Partners with clients to analyze and document course requirements
  • Coordinates quality control, proofreading, and distribution of courseware
  • Loads, tests and migrates deliverables to the SumTotal LMS; may load deliverables, actions and triggers to the mobile platform
  • Plans, conducts, leads, and participates in Train-the-Trainer process

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in instructional design
  • Create web-based, digital, virtual, mobile and instructor-led learning solutions in a large corporate environment
  • 4+ years of experience working within a corporate Sales Organization crafting training experiences to include sales/selling techniques and abilities for multiple skillsets, with tangible positive impacts to business results
  • 4+ years of experience using the following authoring tools for eLearning development:
    • Articulate Storyline
    • Articulate 360
    • Adobe Captivate
    • Camtasia Studio (preferred, but not required)
    • Adobe Illustrator (preferred, but not required)
    • Photoshop (preferred, but not required)
    • HTML5 (preferred, but not required)
  • 2+ years of experience working with different multimedia features such as audio files, graphics, digital photography, animation and gamification tools to create products for mobile learning, micro-learning, and blended courseware
  • Consultative mindset with both strategic and tactical learning development expertise
  • Highly effective at communicating to various levels of leadership within the organization to engage SME’s, sponsors, leaders, and advocates; drawing out learning requirements and performance support opportunities
  • Proficiency in creating interactive media and digital media for web publishing and computer-based training solutions
  • Experience creating mobile learning solutions, creating the curriculum infrastructure within a mobile platform and uploading content to a mobile LMS platform
  • PMP, CPM, or similar project management certification preferred. Project management training or experience may be substituted for certification
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with agility to effectively manage multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Highly organized and efficient, with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong discipline in technical writing and documentation required


  • The client is unable to support 1099 / Corp-to-Corp or Independent Contractor arrangements at this time. All freelancers will be paid as W2 employees.
