Onward Search is hiring a Sr. Graphic Designer for a Consulting Client with offices in Midtown Atlanta!

Summary:

This Team consists of creative leaders, technology strategists, graphic designers, videographers, illustrators and more. We leverage design to translate complex business messages into beautiful visual storytelling.

Responsibilities:
As a Senior Graphic Designer, you will use your design experience and creative skills to:

  • Create compelling visual solutions that engage

  • Translate complex ideas and processes into cohesive and compelling graphic design pieces across a diverse range of projects and subjects

  • Employ creative problem solving to develop detailed concepts and processes into refined, comprehensive design solutions

  • Host creative briefs that capture the business challenge, build timelines and communicate with client

  • Support all design decisions with creative, strategic and/or business reasoning

  • Pitch creative concepts, mock ups and discuss ideas to internal clients

  • Participate in client calls and meetings

  • Amend final designs to incorporate client’s comments and gain full approval

  • Manage simultaneous projects and tasks effectively and deliver assignments on time

  • Work within budget and shifting time constraints

  • Communicate effectively and consistently with stakeholders on project development

  • Mentor fellow graphic designers, host open design critiques, and share knowledge and best practices

  • Provide creative direction for team members and freelancers

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field preferred

  • 5+ years experience in graphic design, with an emphasis in print

  • Knowledge of visual design theory (i.e., composition, color theory, typography etc.)

  • Advanced understanding of digital and print ready artwork preparation; bleeds, and related color and image operations

  • Expert skill level in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)

  • Ability to develop project from creative conception to final deliverable

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly articulate ideas

  • Handle stressful situations with poise, understanding and tact

  • Actively listens, requests clarification when needed

  • Ability to flex approach from a design and working style perspective depending on the needs of the project and client

  • Demonstrates initiative toward extending knowledge about technology/media, production process, design applications and working methods

  • Consistent willingness to go above and beyond for project deliverables, as well as one’s own development

  • Experience in a professional services environment preferred

  • Sharp eye for layout design and awareness of design trends

  • Exceptional attention to detail
