Senior Software Quality Assurance Analyst

Onward Search is hiring a Senior Software Quality Assurance Analyst on a long-term (1-year+) contract basis with an international client with offices in Doraville, GA

Job Summary:

The Senior (Software) Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst will be part of the team that is responsible for delivering software solutions. We are looking for motivated, self-directed people who are capable of leading the delivery of applications to end users in the corporate office and customer community. The Software Quality Assurance Analyst will work closely with business analysis and software development to plan testing effort based on requirements and system design. This individual will be responsible to create and maintain test plans, procedures and report quality assurance results.

Responsibilities:

• Participates in discussions on requirements and extrapolate test design
• Develops test strategies for multi-tier and scalable applications running in the server, desktop and mobile environments
• Contributes and adhere to Quality Assurance standards
• Creates estimates and assist in developing project timelines and milestones
• Presents progress of Quality Assurance deliverables including test plans, test procedures, lab setup, test execution, incident management and test reporting
• Incorporates security into test planning and procedures with relevant testing tools
• Incorporates methodologies that exercise system, integration and boundary testing
• Actively participate in Quality Assurance processes providing reviews, guidance and feedback
• Understands change control procedures
• Applies creative problem-solving skills used in improvement of requirements and software products
• Maintains test logs, documentation and analyze QA data to ensure proper information is included for application development team members to address software issues
• Ensures traceability between software development products including requirements, designs, test plans and test procedures
• Monitors and report QA metrics to identify overall product quality
• Provides status reports to management
• Raise issues timely and follow through to resolution
• Excellent typing skills
• Ability to multi-task in a dynamic work environment

Qualifications:

• 2 or more years of experience working as a Software Quality Analyst creating deliverables for test plans, test procedures and reporting of QA results
• A+ Certified (Preferred)
• Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) (Preferred)
• Strong working experience with standard features of Windows Operating System
• Working knowledge of test automation using Visual Studio
• Experience testing enterprise software applications
• Experience working on a team building medium or large-scale software Products
• Experience with incident tracking and assessment
• Experience working on cross-functional teams
• Experience with change management processes and procedures
• Knowledge of software development methodologies including agile, Iterative and waterfall
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborate and work in team environment
• Work independently
• Adapt to changing priorities
• Continual self-development understanding roadmap for Quality Assurance Technologies
• Ability to provide feedback for usability
• Quality Assurance certifications a plus
• Maintain project plans
• Team Foundation Server, SharePoint, Office, Visio
• Experience with SQL Server preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Project preferred
• Experience using scripting tools to facilitate automated testing a plus
• Experience with NUnit, Selenium, Automated QA a plus
• BA/BS in Information Technology required
