Onward Search is hiring for a Lead Digital Designer for an Agency client in Alpharetta!

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Lead UI/UX Designer that wants to lead in solving challenges and create best-in-class design for marketing and web-based products. Your objective will be to create high-quality user experiences that tell unique and compelling stories across responsive web.

Ideal candidate will be comfortable leading projects in a fast-pace environment, working across multiple teams.

The Lead UX/UI Designer should exhibit mastery of core skills, such as user experience, project/feature requirements, design conceptualization, wire framing, visual design, and experience audits. They should also have strong expertise in production tools to execute on their concepts and designs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead creation of digital experiences, including UX flows and visual interfaces that are innovative and meet business objectives
  • Partner with and lead stakeholders through brainstorm & prototype sessions, and iterate on ideas to build incredible customer experiences
  • Set standards and processes to be followed by the team for consistency and for version control.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure consistency and usability best practiecs
  • Define user interface, weighing the needs of users with technical feasibility and existing development timelines
  • Assure quality of deliverables through self-checks, peer reviews and functional testing
  • Provide detailed wireframe annotations that detail business processes and rules, interaction behaviors, and visual treatment
  • Facilitate the client’s product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for digital products
  • Analyze UI and interaction requirements and recommend additional interactions for platforms with older operating systems
  • Maintain and add to UI and interaction style guide (grid, colors, fonts, icons, etc.)
  • Define visual specs for wireframes (padding, grids, etc,)

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design or like field
  • 5+ years of user interface design, information architecture, and interaction design
  • Expertise in standard UX software such as Sketch, OmniGraffle, Axure, InVision, UXPin and the like is a must. (using MacOS)
  • Expertise in HTML, HTML5, CSS, jQuery
  • PHP, Ruby, Python, Java, MySQL, and .Net is a plus
  • Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and time
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Be a self-starter, a highly motivated person able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative
  • Works quickly and under time constraints
  • Healthcare, Payment Processing or Real Estate Industry experience is a plus


  • The client is unable to support 1099 / Corp-to-Corp or Independent Contractor arrangements at this time. All freelancers will be paid as W2 employees.
