Onward Search is looking for aSenior-level UX Designer to join our prominent corporate client in Atlanta! This is a multi-year W2 contract role that will require 40hrs/wk onsite. Benefits are available throughout the term of the engagement.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a broad, multi-functional role and requires experience across UX design, architecture, research, and strategy.
You will create engaging, effective user interfaces, digital assets, and visual designs in support of both enterprise and customer-facing tools, products, applications, and experiences.
You will help lead the development and design of information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and similar deliverables for digital experiences for implementation in both web and mobile environments.
This is a client-facing role and you will be asked to sit on client meetings and interact with them in order to better understand their creative and design needs.
You must be able to understand business requirements and technical limitations.
You must be able to apply user research, interviews, and surveys, and then translate those into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes.
You will also be expected to design the overall functionality of the product and iterate upon it in accordance with user-testing.
This is a digital role and experience, and portfolio work should be primarily if not exclusively in the digital, UX, and UI space.
Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that help drive towards intuitive user experiences.
Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
Mobile UX experience, including designing for native mobile applications.
Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.
Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.
Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
Ask smart questions, take risks, shows initiative, and champion new ideas.
Bachelor's Degree in design, marketing, or a similar field.
6+ years of professional experience designing digital solutions for large or multi-national companies with a specific focus on UX, UI, and digital design. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience designing complex solutions for complete digital environments and who have previously led UX teams.
Experience in the application of UX strategy, research, and architecture is REQUIRED. Hands-on experience in all areas preferred.
A strong passion for simple, innovative, elegant, engaging user experiences
Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
Advanced knowledge of specialized creative software programs including Adobe Creative Suite/XD, Sketch, Omnigraffle, Balsamiq, InVision, and similar tools.
Ability to work within tight and aggressive deadlines.
Prior experience in UX design including wireframing, prototyping, and UX strategy.
Solid grammar and writing skills, very organized, detail-oriented, process driven.
An ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
An ability to interface with cross-functional teams, internal clients, and all levels of leadership.
Ability to work with stakeholders to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision.
Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.
Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design and design thinking.
Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications.
Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders via a distributed model, to regularly deliver design solutions for approval.
Be passionate about resolving user pain points through design.
Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.
Be passionate about all things UX and other areas of design and innovation. Research and showcase knowledge in the industry’s latest trends and technologies.
A clean, modern portfolio showcasing DIGITAL design work with a specific focus on UX and interface design is required at the time of submission.
