Onward Search is hiring for a UX Mobile Designer!

This UX Mobile Designer position within the Digital Experience and Design team will help drive the digital experience design of mobile apps, contributing to strong brand awareness, desirability and improved usability for our guests. Our ideal candidate has a passion for creative problem-solving, with multiple techniques at the ready to uncover guest needs, wants and opportunities and the communication skills to present ideas effectively to business and technical audiences. The UX Mobile Designer will create mobile application interfaces for the client's app.


  • Bachelor's degree in a design or marketing-related discipline
  • Proficiency with graphics design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Proficiency with HTML5, CSS and JavaScript
  • 6-8 years of progressive work-related experience in digital design, 3+ years of experience designing mobile and responsive apps
  • Experience with mobile app design techniques like Flat and Material Design for both iOS and Android, supporting portfolio examples is a must
  • Experience designing digital experiences for the travel industry is a plus

Technical Skills and Knowledge: (Key Activities)

  • Initiate, conceptualize and create user interface designs based on a thorough understanding of IHG’s hospitality service functionality and usability
  • Produce assets (in multiple languages and densities)
  • Create and maintain style guides
  • Create device-specific prototypes using tools such as Flinto, InVision and Webflow
  • Demonstrated expertise defining digital user experiences using research methodologies such as heuristic evaluation, prototyping, in-lab and online usability testing
  • Experience with enterprise-level user experience design processes; agile experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to understand target audience needs and business needs, finding the best balance and applying to creative solutions
  • Strong conceptualization ability
  • Excellent presentation skills; verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to present and defend design concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects or activities in a dynamic environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks as required
  • Comfortable using referential authority to gain consensus amongst disparate stakeholders in the spirit of customer-centricity
  • Able to work autonomously as well as a member of a team including product managers, information architects, peer designers, content strategists, and copywriters
  • Keen sense of creative thinking and problem solving
  • Communicate user interface design implementation to technology teams in the form of detailed specifications and design documents. Provide review and feedback to technology and QA teams as needed
  • Attend and contribute to peer review sessions and team meetings
  • Stay abreast of new techniques, trends and competitive set products
  • Design user interfaces that are consistent with client and brand strategy


  • The client is unable to support 1099 / Corp-to-Corp or Independent Contractor arrangements at this time. All freelancers will be paid as W2 employees.
