Onward Search's cutting edge fintech client is seeking a Backend Engineer using Go (Golang) to support enterprise integrations.
Responsibilities:
Craft, create, and sustain top-notch software applications and systems by leveraging the Go (Golang) programming language.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and fellow engineers, to extract requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Produce clean, efficient, and sustainable code and APIs in adherence to industry best practices and coding standards.
Enhance application performance and scalability through the implementation of appropriate algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
Facilitate code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and engage in knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance team productivity and code quality.
Identify and rectify software defects, performance bottlenecks, and other issues while suggesting solutions or improvements.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, encompassing design specifications, architectural diagrams, and user guides.
Keep abreast of the latest developments, tools, and technologies within the Go ecosystem, assessing their potential impact on the software development process.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to deploy and oversee applications in production environments.
Requirements:
Possess at least 5 years of experience in software development.
Exhibit a strong command of the Go programming language, alongside expertise in its core libraries and frameworks.
Demonstrate a sound comprehension of software engineering principles, encompassing algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
Show evidence of developing scalable, high-performance applications using Go.
Exhibit familiarity with concurrent programming and a deep understanding of Go's concurrency patterns.
Have experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and RESTful APIs.
Display proficiency in version control systems, such as Git, and be acquainted with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
Possess hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
Showcase strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
