Bilingual Editor / Translator (English - Spanish)

Onward Search needs a Bilingual Editor / Translator (English – Spanish) for global financial services organization.

You’ll join the Digital Customer Experience Team to translate, edit and create copy using in-house style guides and standards to produce content in Spanish and English.

This is a 6-month opportunity with potential of extending further. This is a hybrid role that will require 3 days per week in the NYC office.

As a Bilingual Editor / Translator (English – Spanish) you’ll: 
- Translate, proofread, edit, write, and improve content across interface language, product education, naming conventions, navigation and other content for web and mobile experiences
- Create and maintain style guides and glossaries
- Work alongside editors, product and business partners to understand goals and requirements
- Participate in research such as user-testing, customer journey mapping and persona development
- Drive consistency across products and channels, ensuring voice and tone meet company standards

Skills & Experience needed:  
- 5+ years of experience writing, editing and translating customer-facing content in English and Spanish for web and mobile
- Strong written and verbal communication within both the English and Spanish language (grammar, spelling, punctuation and usage, etc.)
- Experience working with designers, researchers, usability specialists, product managers, legal and compliance experts and line-of-business owners
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Translation, Applied Linguistics, Communications, Journalism, Advertising or related field
