Our client is an award winning non-profit looking for a IT Project manager to join their team on a contract basis.

Job Description:

  • Define scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Create and manage project and resource plans. Negotiate with other department managers for appropriate staffing to support the project.
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions and produce requirements documentation, including gathering business, functional, and system requirements from stakeholders, or overseeing requirements definition by the vendor.
  • Ensure sign-off and acceptance of project goals and requirements.
  • Work with cross enterprise units to accomplish work, forging the necessary relationships to be effective.
  • Delegate appropriate tasks and responsibilities to other project participants.
  • Own and execute project communications including kick-off, regular project status updates, meeting, and changes to project scope, timelines, risks, etc.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies, deliverables, and critical path.
  • Identify and escalate risks and issues appropriately. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and develop contingency plans.
  • Facilitate open and honest communication among participants, stakeholders, and management.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and stakeholders.
  • Conduct project postmortems. Ensure that all tasks and close-out steps are completed successfully on the project.
  • Managing the software vendor relationship and ensuring they deliver on scope.
