We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in product development, end-user research/testing, supplier communications and management, costing and scheduling.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills to support the fast-paced development environment. This position reports to the COO.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and track all phases of development from initial concept ideation to production
  • Support new product development initiatives to meet projected cost, product performance and schedule objectives
  • Facilitate prototype development, conduct product testing (including In-Home User Testing) and create appropriate documentation including product performance specifications and test plans
  • Interface with manufacturing/suppliers, operations, quality, marketing, industrial design, and consumer care
  • Review prototype samples and provide detailed feedback to suppliers in regards to construction, quality, size, labeling, color, graphic applications, etc.
  • Help identify and implement electronic/electrical technologies that can solve the need of our end users
  • Support new technology research, including introducing technologies and trends from alternative industries that may be applicable

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • A BS degree in Engineering or related degree
  • 5-7 years in product development/consumer products
  • Working knowledge of technologies such as RFID, WiFi, Bluetooth, and IoT a plus
  • Knowledge of industry standards and CSA test protocol
