Digital Marketing Specialist

Onward Search needs a Digital Marketing Specialist for a higher education client. You’ll join the marketing team to assist in strategic digital marketing outreach as part of an integrated global marketing program. Requires a highly organized individual with a strong digital background, a firm grasp of e-mail marketing and working within an email service provider, experience in website maintenance within a content management system, experience managing social media pages, excellent project management skills, strong copywriting skills, and the ability to generate and review associated marketing analytics.

This is a six-month project opportunity working on-site three days a week and two days remotely.

As a Digital Marketing Specialist, you’ll:

• Responsible for building outbound broadcast e-mails in both Pardot and iContact email service providers
• Update automated email nurturing campaigns with session information and new content
• Manage the department’s e-mail marketing calendar
• Responsible for ensuring all e-mail campaigns are error-free and adhere to current SPAM filter requirements
• Filter and export segmented lists from the Salesforce CRM for targeted marketing outreach; de-dupe/suppress lists when necessary to ensure accurate list count and reduce list fatigue
• Serve as the principal website content editor, working in the Drupal 8 CMS to create new program pages and update existing program pages to support marketing outreach and new program launches
• Serve as the organization’s point-of-contact to post updated program sessions, text, imagery, and multimedia to ensure that published content is accurate, optimized and up-to-date
• Ensure that brand standards are maintained throughout the website
• Maintain the social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) and post organic content through Hootesuite
• Work with marketing team, program delivery, and our agency to manage schedule and content
• Create custom tracked links to measure email and website performance and impact of key digital marketing initiatives
• Measure and report on performance of broadcast e-mails, and make recommendations to the marketing team to inform the direction of ongoing digital marketing activity

Skills & Experience needed:

• Bachelor’s Degree and three-plus years of related experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of CRM platforms, e-mail marketing, and social media, basic knowledge of HTML, and web editing tools
• Experience drafting and editing copy for electronic communications, setting up and deploying emails through an ESP, strong project management skills, and experience working with a cross-functional team are necessary
