Our client, a video game company, is seeking a Brand Manager to join the Entertainment team.

You will report to
the Sr. Marketing Director and be responsible for:

  • Using strong relationship and strategy first leadership skills to work closely with the Narrative Expressions teams and coordinate with Worldwide Publishing organization and other key partners to develop global creative assets, marketing strategies and tactics, and cross-promotional programs
  • Interact on a regular basis with external groups including publishers, promotional partners, distribution platforms, and agencies
  • Lead efforts and develop strategies that focus on finding and attracting current, lapsed and new players and fans to our intellectual property
  • Join a team of cross-functional marketers that includes the sub-disciplines of brand, performance marketing, communications/PR, digital marketing; and owned, paid & earned media
  • Develop adaptable global marketing strategic platforms that our regional publishing leads can build on; as well as several end-to-end go-to-market campaigns per year & evergreen strategies to grow the new audience
  • Collaborate with product managers on the best way to get our products out to the world in both old and new ways

Musts:

  • 5-7 years of leadership experience in publishing and/or marketing
  • Big plus having worked in the book and comics industry or on franchise IP products etc.
  • Experience successfully worked on multiple products at different stages of development and understand how to position and build large scale reach and desire for those products
  • Experience leading multiple agencies and vendors working in concert to craft a cohesive product campaign
  • Experience developing and executing creative of exceptional quality for global as well as local resonance
  • Strong understand how successful publishing impacts players and how different strategic options for bringing a game to market directly drive product reception
  • Excellent attention to detail and know what good looks like, with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Successful candidate will have a strong background in book and or comic book marketing, strong partners network, strong EQ, relationship building skills and passionate about video games, entertainment and digital innovation
