Ecommerce client based in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Business Analyst to join them for a long term contract engagement.


  • Analyze business requirements provided by the client, translate them into functional requirements and construct comprehensive user requirement
  • Leverage domain and product knowledge to help stakeholders understand operational / business trade-offs associated with customizations
  • Communicate product dependencies, system limitations changes and impact to client environment to assist with strategic planning
  • Collaborate with project team to ensure requirements are clear and prerequisites are met
  • Review design and test documents to verify that the design will meet the defined requirements
  • Act as a liaison among all internal and external stakeholders to facilitate an understanding of requirements
  • Manage requirements approval process with stakeholders and adhere to change management process for managing scope
  • Improve systems by studying current practices and designing modifications
  • Maintain awareness of Toshiba product roadmap, new features, products or systems as they may apply to our retail clients
  • Stay current on general retail knowledge, retail product sets, and retail technology
  • Travel to customer locations as required (25% travel)

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • 8 years of experience in business analysis or software development
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including workflow diagrams, use cases and specifications
  • Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements

Bonus Skills:

  • Retail Domain Knowledge (store operations and POS concepts)
  • Experience developing software test cases
