One of our startup Fintech clients is looking for a Business Analyst due to unprecedented growth within the past year.

Our wealth management technology client is searching for a detail-oriented Business Analyst to join their growing, cross-disciplinary and globally distributed digital product team. They're seeking an experienced resource who is an effective facilitator, detailed planner, clear communicator, and efficient analyst.

Will be a tactical within the Product team, with significant independence and accountability, and tight partnership with Business and Development teams. The role is to play a driver of the identification, documentation, acceptance, and evolution of our core digital products’ functional specifications and requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Balance multiple objectives, projects, and goals simultaneously
  • Work with both our Product, Business, operations, and Dev teams as well as our Bulgaria-based design and dev teams.
  • Partner with other stakeholder teams across business units to develop necessary analysis and documentation collaboratively, communicating effectively and efficiently with Product, business, and executive teams
  • Facilitate requirement gathering and prioritization sessions/workshops and subject matter expertise extraction across a spectrum of business and technology stakeholders
  • Author and update internal and external functional documentation, including delivering requirements and all manner of needed documentation
  • Develop, socialize, and implement requirement impact and gap analysis
  • Participate in the “sell-in” and “buy-in” of the needed documentation to/with stakeholders including business and development teams
  • Help design testing strategies and drive the definition of acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues
  • Gain knowledge in operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats
  • Improve systems by studying current practices; and helping to drive improvements

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of Business Analyst/Product Management experience
  • Excellent communication and writing skills with the ability to translate documents into actions
  • Knowledge in Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of proper requirements specification and development, such as process/functional requirements definition methods, use case development, process flow diagrams
  • Proficiency in Design Thinking, System Thinking, JAD/RAD sessions, or similar facilitation methodologies
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • The ability to take direction and critique is a natural part of improving your work
  • Proven ability for independent work in a dynamic, fast shifting workplace.
  • Experience working on large and complex digital projects. An emphasis or interest in financial services or wealth management is preferred.
  • Solutions-oriented problem-solving skills with a can-do, hands-on approach and a bias towards action, results, and learning.
  • Keen attention to detail and author of crisp, clear documentation
  • Excellent communication, relationship, presentation, and time management skills with the ability to effectively manage up
