Onward Search's client, a global retail design agency, is in search of a Business Development Manager to join their team in a full-time role beginning immediately.


  • Hunting new business opportunities through your outreach and developing of strong, lasting client relationships.
  • Leverage lead generation through your networks, social media, online publications, industry events, etc. to identify key prospects.
  • Truly listen to and understand a client's needs and objectives to help the team develop an action plan to win the business.
  • Find the right clients for our business - do they fit within our core values?
  • Be a steward for our brand, onboarding potential clients to our process to ensure an appropriate fit.
  • You will continue to stay up to date on creative, industry and cultural trends.
  • Act as a steward for the clients you bring in - make sure the team is hitting all the objectives your clients are looking for.
  • Help the team to continually improve upon our last project through post-project debriefs.
  • You will travel in this role - domestically and internationally.


  • 5+ years at a creative agency, ideally in the global retail design space in the Business Development function.
  • You have targeted, created and cultivated lasting, client relationships for a creative agency.
  • Have a high-level understanding of the journey a brand makes from product creation through to sale.
  • Bring high energy and quick action to the role.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Strong organization and planning skills.
  • You are not afraid of cold-calling/emailing.
  • Bring an interesting perspective on our sales approach.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
