Our client, a well-known eCommerce brand, is seeking a sales-oriented professional to join one of their internal professional’s team working out of their San Jose office. This team supports specific divisions business to source, evaluate, structure, negotiate and close bespoke commercial agreements with a wide range of strategic partners. Focus areas may include Merchandising (Deals, Arts & Collectibles, Business & Industrial, Fashion, Electronics, Home & Garden, Media/Toys/Lifestyle, and Motors Parts & Accessories),If you are passionate about promoting a product and working in a customer, sale-oriented environment than apply today to speak with one of our associates.

  • Deal Execution: Support team to initiate, structure and close partnership deals. Negotiate business terms and partnership agreements, including drafting term sheets and supporting the legal team to execute contracts. Ensure that division achieves optimum structure, terms, and conditions for each deal, consistent with the overall business strategy.
  • Strategic Thinking: Identity, evaluate and develop partnership opportunities based on insightful competitive analysis, market research, partnership landscape planning that aligns with company business goals and strategic priorities.
  • Communications: Persuasive and compelling communication skills, including the ability to create polished executive-ready PowerPoint decks to assist in executive decision making and deal negotiations. Ability to develop frameworks and templates for adequately presenting the information.
  • Deal Scoping & Analysis: Contribute to the evaluation of strategic opportunities, including acquisitions, investments, partnerships, and other strategic projects.
  • Project Management: Manage a dynamic set of critical projects simultaneously while driving to delivery against tight timelines. Collaborate effectively with internal cross-functional teams including Merchandising, Selling Experience (B2C and C2C), Analytics, Marketing, Product, Legal, Information Security, Finance, Accounting, Communications/PR and other internal teams to lead, evaluate and structure partnership deals.
  • Financial Analysis: Identify KPIs and success metrics for deals. Analyze the financial impact of potential sales, including Excel deal modeling and assessing and making recommendations to executives.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university (MBA helpful).
  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience preferred.
  • 2+ years in strategy consulting/investment banking.
  • Direct partnership execution/negotiation experience helpful.
  • Self-starter and demonstrated the ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
  • Creative problem solver.
  • Excellent communication skills and executive presence.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Outstanding analytical skills and facility with Excel.
  • Exceptional PowerPoint skills and ability to create concise and structured exec-level presentations.
