Our client, a Global eCommerce client based in San Jose is seeking a Business Analyst to join them on a long term contract engagement with the potential to go perm.

Responsibilities:

  • Ideal candidates will partner with multiple teams to support various indirect tax aspects of our global businesses
  • Gather requirements, provide expertise and oversee the implementation of solution as a result of new business
  • practices or tax legislation
  • Ability to understand at a detailed level a complex systems architecture in which data flows between interconnected systems managed by different teams
  • Ability to manage various partners to ensure process and systems are designed and implemented in accordance with requirements and participate in UAT
  • Demonstrate a sense of problem awareness, an aptitude for critical and analytical thinking and problem solving, an ability to break down and improve systems and processes, and a vision for future needs
  • Manage complex, system intensive reconciliations in accordance with financial close deadlines. Includes active participation in the review of the systems and reconciliation processes with internal and external auditors
  • Diagnose data quality/bad transaction issues by drilling down complex data structures to extract the root cause of variances between multiple systems and effectively communicate the results and potential solutions to accounting and technology teams
  • Strong finance and/or accounting functional expertise, business process knowledge
  • Superb attention to detail and able to deliver results in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Comfort with initiating and responding to change; proven ability to identify, develop and implement process/systems improvements
