Are you a freelance Proofreader looking for your next gig? Are you extremely detail oriented and meticulous when it comes to copy across different mediums (print, web, email, direct mail)? Are you located or willing to travel to the northern suburbs of IL? This may just be the one for you!

The Proofreader works directly with editing lead writers, print and web designers and the editing team to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all editing projects and responsibilities. The Freelance Editor is responsible for making sure all work follows approved style guide standards, grammar and punctuation rules, and registration and trademark usage. The Freelance Editor reads content for accuracy and continuity to ensure the best shopping experience for the customer.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality control on emails, web promotions, and web site updates to ensure functionality of links, programming, link tags, data tags, etc. to ensure good customer UX
  • Bring to the attention of the appropriate person any significant discrepancies or inaccuracies that you notice in regards to brand claims and product and offer copy (including disclaimers and trademarks)
