Copywriter

Onward Search needs a Copywriter for a Marketing Agency focusing on Automotive Clients. This is a well-established agency in the Detroit Area known for their Automotive work along with other clients.

You’ll join the Content/Writing team to help produce outstanding internal/external work.

This is a 6 month contract to hire opportunity.

As a Copywriter you’ll:

• Write engaging, error-free copy that reflects our client’s brand voice
• Collaborate with Creative and Client Services teams to develop a variety of content marketing materials
• Thoroughly review copy for grammatical, punctuation and spelling errors and suggest corrections based on brand guidelines
• Distill technical product information into simple language that emphasizes customer benefits
• Maintain a deep understanding of our client’s products and strategic direction to ensure messaging is aligned
• Conduct high-quality research and interviews

Skills & Experience needed:

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or related field
• Proven experience as a copywriter or related role
• 3+ years of experience in agency or marketing communications preferred
• Prior product information or automotive background strongly preferred
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
• Strong research and editing skills
• Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office software, including Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
