Our client, a leader in their industry that has shown growth year over year for the past 20 years is seeking an Online Merchandiser to join their digital marketing team. The ideal candidate will be adept with data and analytics while having experience creating online kits, bundling product, and owning online search algorithms that provide for relevant results.

Responsibilities::

  • Develop, implement and optimize all onsite search functionalities in order to improve findability and customer-facing experiences
  • Support merchandising roadmaps to positively influence online product and onsite search performance through digital eCommerce channels
  • Optimize onsite search activity using analytics to recommend rules, facet management, thesaurus entries, redirects and more
  • Understand category and product level behaviors in order to improve relevancy onsite experience
  • Support the online marketing team in the creation of search-related rules and landing pages to drive an improved onsite experience
  • Monitor all facets of online search related activity (triggers, rules, biases, etc.) and analyze individual effectiveness
  • Tests and evaluate the effectiveness of merchandising strategies; refines as part of continuous improvement process
  • Drive cross merchandising of product groups to drive profitable mix
  • Support product detail page perfection with optimal content to improve conversion
  • Measure effectivity of merchandising capabilities to inform development, execution, and continuous improvement

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in online merchandising/e-commerce
  • Experience managing searchability and customizing “left rail”
  • Strong knowledge of Google Analytics or similar tools
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of management
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects effectively
  • Entrepreneurial individual with strong hands on eCommerce expertise
  • Thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environment, efficiently works under pressure, within deadlines or other time essential constraints
