Our client, a growing financial education company in the Loop, is seeking a self-driven, design-focused front-end developer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and modifying WordPress pages and posts, producing creative materials for marketing campaigns including advertising and email layouts, and managing website content. The ideal candidate will be passionate about investing and/or consumer education.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating and editing design materials including eBooks, reports, ads, landing pages, and other marketing materials
  • Developing and modifying web pages and posts
  • Reporting on key web and email performance metrics
  • Collaborating with Marketing and Technology teams to identify, monitor, and report on campaign/promotion performance
  • Participate in website functionality and user testing

Qualifications:

  • Must have prior eCommerce website management experience (WooCommerce)
  • Must have experience using browser-based content management systems (Wordpress)
  • Ability to hand-code, standards-compliant HTML and CSS
  • Understanding browser compatibility issues, responsive web design, and email deliverability
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines
  • Advanced experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Web/Technology or related field
  • 5+ years related professional experience in design and marketing. Personal URL/Portfolio required
  • Experience in investment products, trading, options or related field is a plus
