Our client, a National Chain, is seeking a Cloud Optimization Analyst to join our client onsite in the Tampa Florida general area for a full time perm engagement.

Description:

  • Drive visibility of cloud cost management across app teams to develop and implement chargeback, cost allocation, and budget forecast models
  • Monthly reporting to business application owners on consumption costs that will be charged back to the respective line of business/cost center
  • Report on project costs and forecasting cloud costs for application owners to support the annual OCP
  • Development of reserved instance, on-demand, and spot instance strategy and guidelines
  • Development cost allocation models for shared services
  • Providing guidance to cloud engineering on cost optimization best practices
  • Build monitoring and reporting to identify inconsistent consumption against expected models
  • Detect unexpected spikes in consumption across cloud tenants to identify non-budgeted expenses
  • Help manage Office 365 subscription licensing

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or other analytical disciplines or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Infrastructure solutions
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working as IT Business analyst
  • Minimum of 2 years experience tracking cloud spend for Microsoft Azure
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with total cost ownership, charge back, cost allocation, and budget forecast models for cloud consumption
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with cost allocation models for shared services
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Additional Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as an IT business analyst for cloud services
  • Experience tracking cloud spend for Google GCP and AWS
  • Experience working in cloud architectures from Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Experience using tools such as Cloudability, Cloud Checker, Cloud Health or Turbonomic
  • Office 365 subscription licensing expertise
