Onward Search is hiring a Content Marketing Manager for an Financial client in Midtown!

The Content Marketing Manager is responsible for creation, deployment, and optimization of all of the company's content. The successful candidate will be an accomplished, data-driven storyteller who can partner with the marketing team to develop a purposeful, traffic/conversion-driving editorial calendar and author the proper mix of videos, articles, and infographics for publication across digital channels. This role reports into the Director of Marketing.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with Marketing stakeholders to plan, create and optimize the company's content calendar
  • Activate content calendar by researching, authoring, editing and coordinating content
  • Transform organizational expertise into consumer-facing content by interviewing cross-functional team members
  • Employ company ‘test, learn, and optimize’ culture
  • Align with Influencer Marketing, PR, and Customer/Brand Marketing stakeholders to support holistic community marketing strategy

Desired Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, English and/or Marketing
  • 2-5 years’ experience in a consumer-facing marketing role with preference for competency across email, social and other digital channels
  • Experience writing copy for long and short-form content pieces including but not limited to blogs, white papers, infographics and social media posts
  • Experience scoping, developing, and directing web-ready video content, including management and oversight of video shooting team and process
  • Ability to interview subject matter experts and convert detailed information into consumer-facing content
  • General business acumen & comfort with marketing analytics
  • Understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices and implementations
  • Eye and appreciation for thoughtful design
  • Ability to be entrepreneurial and methodical
  • Results-oriented and process driven, with high expectations of self and team
  • Collaborative mindset with strength in effectively receiving and communicating feedback
