Onward Search is hiring for a Content Operations Associate! This is a 6 month contract with HUGE potential for extension. Health benefits available during the contract period. Client is located in Dunwoody, GA.

Content Operations Associate will be responsible for helping maintain Web sites across the family of brands as well as support new projects and initiatives. It is the role of content developer to assist in research, process development, and team training for multiple web and eCommerce related initiatives. Ideal candidate should be able to take direction, work with cross-functional business and technology partners to design, execute, and support the solution.

Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:

  • Build, publish, and maintain web content for all websites
  • Implement web content strategy and maintain standards across the organization
  • Work with multiple digital teams across channels (i.e. email, mobile, digital product experience, digital delivery, and technology) on research & development and strategy & requirements gathering to support the content delivery for our current sites and project initiatives
  • Assist in CMS management and authoring across internal websites, including managing requirements definition and researching new features
  • Assist the Content Operations Manager in developing “best practices” and processes for authoring & governance and ensuring alignment with department strategies and goals
  • Manage ongoing changes and updates to websites including planning, documentation and communicating with key stakeholders
  • Support Content Operations by expanding education and increasing existing knowledge of operations, analytics and methodology within Web and Interactive Marketing (e.g., increasing overall Web traffic and user experience metrics, etc.)
  • Liaise with key business and technology teams (understanding our business and marketing goals) to ensure stylized, integrated, and aligned solutions are created
  • Develop and socialize plans for reducing inefficiencies and increasing operations
  • Assist in Content Operations Development from a strategy perspective including recommendations on best practices
  • Document and communicate newly developed strategy and standards
  • Role may also help with other web related program development and operational needs

Candidate Qualifications: 

  • We are not expecting candidate to have subject matter expertise across all websites, however, the candidate needs to have a strong foundation in web and eCommerce technology space, needs to be resourceful and confident utilizing internal experts, historical info, competitive research and a passion for learning new technology
  • Ideal candidate has experience in a CMS, experience with project management and status communications and is a self-starter
  • Candidate must have background working with Content Management Systems
  • Successful track record interfacing and communicating effectively across cross-functional teams (business and technology), with a proven ability to translate business needs in to polished Web and graphic design solutions
  • Good knowledge of user experience, site usability requirements, and an overall great design sense
  • A team-oriented work ethic and an ability to work collaboratively within a matrix-style infrastructure
  • Experience providing creative and organizational support to keep everything running smoothly
  • Minimum two to three years’ experience in a digital production environment, preferably in marketing or software/digital space
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a devotion to detail


  • 2-3 years’ experience working with a CMS and/or content publishing (consumer - facing)
  • Experience working in a customer support role with multiple stakeholders 
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to reach a wide spectrum of stakeholders 
  • ​Ability to multitask and prioritize high-level projects in a deadline-driven environment 


  • The client is unable to support 1099 / Corp-to-Corp or Independent Contractor arrangements at this time. All freelancers will be paid as W2 employees.
