Our client is seeking a Contracts Administrator to join them for a contract engagement with the potential to go perm.

  1. Manages the oversight of the Subcontracts on Projects to include qualifying new Suppliers, generation of Subcontracts, preparing Amendments to Subcontracts and corresponding Purchase Orders.
  2. Manages the oversight of the Staffing/Direct Hire/Consultant Subcontracts, including maintaining a list of Staffing/Consultant companies on the Share, qualifying new Suppliers, generation of Subcontracts, preparing Amendments to Subcontracts and corresponding Purchase Orders.
  3. Assist in the generation of NDA’s IDIQs, FFP, and T&M Agreements, to include the review of solicitations, submitting RFQs for proposals, analyzing quotes, preparing Amendment to Subcontracts and corresponding Purchase Orders, and performs contract closeout activities.
  4. Must possess and demonstrate good analytical and communication skills and possess the ability to draft simple contractual instruments in accordance with prescribed templates and guidelines.
  5. Perform price analysis on all awards above the micro-purchase threshold, currently at $10,000.
  6. Review Purchase Requisitions for accuracy; generate Change Orders to POs/Subcontract Amendments and ensure review, approval, and execution in accordance with corporate and/or business unit guidelines. Assist with the reconciliation of receipts, invoices, and open PO’s.
  7. Create and maintain Purchasing files in accordance with departmental procedures.
  8. Promote the use of Small Minority and/or Historically Underutilized businesses to further the Corporate Small Business Plan. Provide advice and guide program managers to consider a small business in all opportunities.
  9. Challenge Suppliers' quotes and negotiate and log savings on the Share.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of purchasing or contract experience, the relevant degree may be substituted for job experience (ex: Degree with Contract, Acquisitions Management, or Procurement)
  • Knowledge of CostPoint a plus
  • Experience with Government Purchasing/Contracts a plus
