Our client, an advertising agency, is looking for a Copy Supervisor to join their creative team!

Copy Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Develops copy for and oversees assigned brand, working closely with Editorial, Art, and Account partners to ensure that clients are satisfied with all creative work and the responsiveness to their needs
  • Understands all assigned brands and relevant marketing challenges acting responsively to clients strategic and creative needs
  • Works with Art partner to produce and present novel marketing ideas and multi-channel tactics
  • Manages and works independently, often under tight deadlines, while juggling multiple projects
  • Acts as the leading writer on print, video and digital projects
  • Works closely with Art, Editorial, Traffic and Project Management to ensure jobs are on track with deadlines and budgets
  • Contributes to development of brand messaging, participating in client strategy meetings and MLR review as necessary
  • Manages own workload and those of direct reports to maximize productivity and maintain billable hours
  • Represents the agency at client meetings with other team members
  • Assures that all supervised copywriters are trained and mentored to maintain the expectations of the agency and the client, and to meet their own career goals

Copy Supervisor Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years advertising agency experience, 2+ years in pharmaceutical advertising
  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A proven track record of creative ability and judgment
  • Strategic team player who can collaborate effectively with clients as well as Account and Art teams
  • Strong interest in science and healthcare, preferably with experience writing high-science, strategic communications
  • Understanding of MLR review processes and requirements
  • Strong copywriting skills in all media
