Our client, a non-profit, is seeking a Copywriter to join the Marketing team. We're looking for candidates with the following skillset and experience to fill the role. 

You will report to the Creative Services Director and be responsible to:

  • Draft copy for offline, digital campaigns and collateral
  • Capture and own brand voice and tone and to collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Providing the content development and copywriting to support the team’s efforts in recruiting new donors and volunteers, as well as storytelling to increase awareness and affinity for the brand.
  • Every day will be a challenge, but every month brings new opportunities for an organization that is quickly becoming a household name in disaster response.
  • Lead copy development and participate in creative concepting across a diverse range of work including online and offline fundraising, volunteer recruitment, brand awareness, training courses, voice/copy style guides, and speech-writing
  • Draft copy for all social channels including digital and print ads, video scriptwriting, social media graphics, print collateral, email, and web properties
  • Maintain and update departmental reference, such as invoice and style guid
  • Provide support with copyediting and proofreading and editorial choices
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary creative and marketing team, as well as experts in disaster response, corporate partners, and external contractors to deliver high-quality creative output
  • Fulfill requests from key corporate and philanthropic partners, support other divisions while assisting volunteer communications leaders across the country
  • Build copy guidelines and standards to fit into overall brand architecture

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in creative writing, journalism, or related field; or equivalent experience
  • 2-7 years of experience working as part of a multidisciplinary creative team e.g., in-house creative or marketing services team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to adapt style to various audiences
  • Advertising or marketing agency experience is preferred
