Our national healthcare client is seeking a CORPORATE JOURNALIST who can report and write on internal news for internal and external news websites part time hours starting in August and working until the end of the year. Assignments would include announcements, articles about projects and initiatives, feature stories about employees and physicians, and care and quality stories. This role will also proofread work of other people in the department, use the CMS system and WordPress for publishing their work, take/provide photographs to accompany articles and assist the managing editor as needed for both the internal and external news websites.

SKILLS:

  • Must have a portfolio of published articles from newspapers, magazines and/or corporations
  • Previous experience in a healthcare corporate communications situation preferred
  • Looking for a fast and accurate writer who can route their own work for review
  • Follow AP Style guide
  • Diplomatic, flexible, upbeat and dependable
  • Able to work at a fast pace, interact wiht others and be comfortable on a team

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven portfolio
  • BA in Journalism or English ONLY
  • Masters in either is preferred
  • Comfortable with the M/W/F 24 hour weeks and will need to work the week of Nov. 19 as well as the weeks of December 17 and December 24
