Our client, a nationally recognized entertainment company, is looking for a Director of Strategic Creative Partnerships.  This will be a 4-6 month contract, full time hours.  It will be remote, must work PST hours).

Job Description:

The Creative Director, Integrated Brand Strategy & Partnerships will play an integral role in the creative development and execution of marketing partnerships that will create meaningful, cross-platform experiences for brands. This individual will be responsible for managing multiple projects at varying stages of research, ideation, development, design and implementation/execution. They will provide recommendations on the direction a partnership should take with various client entertainment properties and IP.

The Creative Director will analyze current market research data and trends and use the information to advise on, and develop practical solutions for branded content and marketing partnerships. They will help drive projects forward with innovative concepts, a strong desire to develop ideas and work closely with various internal teams to ensure pathways of communication remain fluid. This person must be exceedingly proactive, full of energy, and eager to thrive in an entertainment focused, creative environment. This position works closely with the SVP and VP, Strategic Creative Partnerships.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively keep up-to-date on all network IP, characters, and owned channels to leverage and develop brand partnership offerings
  • Research potential brand partners that align with network IP and marketing efforts
  • Partner with Creative Partnerships SVP and VP to formulate strategies that are customized to fit specific client objectives and briefs; includes brainstorming and liaising with various internal teams to create compelling on-air, digital, and 360 marketing partnership programs
  • Distill network/brand research data and create client-facing stories to support partnership ideas
  • Develop and create groundbreaking partnership ideas that provide marketing value for our shows as well as support a brand partners marketing objectives
  • Collaborate with copywriter to create compelling narratives to support Brand Partnership ideas
  • Collaborate with designer to bring ideas to life via visuals and design aesthetics
  • Ability to effectively communicate/pitch partnership ideas
  • Manage partnership from conception to execution with an astute attention to creative output, ensuring that work surrounding the partnership delivers on the original intention and vision of the partnership, both for the brand and our shows
  • Execution on-set, working with talent, production and clients interchangeably, and understand the timing and pace of network television
  • Develop relationships with key internal stakeholders that support Brand Partnerships
  • Operate cross functionally, straddling the line between research guru, idea generator, problem solver and brand interpreter

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of relevant brand experience in the media/entertainment industry
  • Experience in a creative and/or media agency is required
  • Must have experience working with copywriters; familiar with creative strategy for scripts, treatments and copy for creative concepts
  • A thirst for new trends, technology, and branded content with a strong sense of storytelling in the TV and digital space
  • Passion for and track record of developing integrated marketing and multi-platform marketing strategies with TV IP and working within or alongside TV creative and TV advertising groups across a highly-matrixed organization
  • Familiarity or previous experience supporting scripted and unscripted on-set activations for network programs
  • Excellent communicator and strategic thinker with ability to lead and collaborate across divisions and functions
  • Proven success in high profile, 360 custom brand partnerships
  • Experience conducting market research and utilizing date to develop creative strategy for 360 campaigns and brand partnerships
  • Detail-oriented and a willingness to roll up sleeves and get things done
