Onward Search is looking for a Proofreader/Editor with creative/marketing agency experience to join our agency client in Atlanta for an onsite contract-to-hire role!
This role will require 40 hrs/week.
We expect it to last 3-6 months on the contract before converting into a perm position.
This position sits onsite in Atlanta but may offer some remote flexibility once trust and capability are established.
You are an editorial wizard who loves to proofread and edit website copy, marketing collateral, and other creative deliverables.
You are far more than just grammar... you understand client preferences, brand tone and voice, and corporate style guidelines. You are truly a last review brand ambassador.
You are NOT a copywriter... although you understand copy and love the written word. You are a proofreader and editor at heart, and you are passionate about making sure all I's are dotted, and all t's are crossed. Sometimes literally.
You aren't a consultant. You are looking for a home, love the agency world, and want to settle in somewhere for years rather than months.
4+ years working in editorial, copywriting, or content creation with 2+ years focused specifically on proofreading and editing.
Prior experience working within an advertising/marketing agency STRONGLY preferred. Work on a creative, content, or marketing team in a corporate environment is also acceptable.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in writing, English, or a similar field from an accredited institution.
A passion and love for all things editorial, specifically in proofreading and editing existing copy.
A natural understanding of brand tone and voice.
An extraordinary level of focus and attention to detail.
Outstanding oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to think critically and problem solve.
Desire to collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize based on client goals.
Ability to stay highly organized and work efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
