Onward Search's client, a top ad agency in SF, is looking to hire a part-time Resource Manager for about 20 hours a week on-site. This person will be the liaison between the digital creative and research teams, and the production and operation teams in San Francisco. The Resource Manager oversees resource bookings for projects and product builds and is accountable for the orderly workflow and resource allocation from inception through delivery. This role is very much deadline driven and requires someone who is financially savvy, an excellent communicator, collaborative and solutions-oriented planner.

Responsibilities and Experience:

  • Assemble and allocate project teams in a resource booking system.
  • Run weekly resource meeting with delivery team and discipline leads and flag resourcing gaps to the Finance and the GM.
  • Proactively follow up with new business teams to obtain updates on new business opportunities with the goal of securing resource needs ahead of time and successfully flowing new business into the studio.
  • Management of shifting staffing plans and daily allocation updates.
  • Collaborate with Resource Managers from other offices to build best practice in resource management. Work closely with NY/London to understand resourcing blockers to utilize cross-office skill sets.
  • Identify + flag resourcing roadblocks/conflicts and be a strategic problem solver demonstrating empathy and a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Proactively explore opportunities to maximize team utilization.
  • Work with Finance and Production Teams to ensure all projects are set up properly in our project management system and billing to the appropriate rate cards.
  • Liaise with the recruitment team to source freelance support when needed.
  • Manage all freelancer relationships, allocations, project work, and contract status.
  • Manage freelancer onboarding process, paperwork and ensure they onboarded effectively to project work. 
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a digital trafficking or resource role, with a minimum of 1 year of experience working within an agency.
  • Experience working with a resourcing platform.
  • Experience working with a digital creative and technical team.
