Data Scientist needed for a long term project in the Boston area.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Define requirements for backend data capture
  • Quality check all web analytics data
  • Aggregate and clean data from multiple sources (e.g., surveys, web analytics)
  • Maintain study records and documentation
  • Create and refine data dictionary needs
  • Prepare clean analysis file and maintain backups
  • Recommend best practices for various types of analyses
  • Analyze data according to best practices
  • Maintain all data and analytics files for review & audit
  • Create graphs and visualizations
  • Participate in team discussions and communicate findings
  • Support research lead in interpretation and report creation
  • Adverse event monitoring in quantitative data
  • Monitor data for anomalies

A background in biostatistics, healthcare research or clinical research is desirable but not essential.

Experience working with web analytics data is a bonus.

The person in this role will be asked to present and discuss findings to a broad audience, and therefore must be able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels. A strong working knowledge of statistical data analysis and data management principles is critical for success.


  • Handling large datasets and statistical analysis is required.
  • Work in an analysis software like R, SPSS, SAS, STATA or equivalent.
  • Person must be hands on, be able to write code/ scripts to automate analysis procedures.
