Our client, a transmedia studio that creates a digital character, is seeking a Design/VFX Project Manager to join the team.

You will report to the Director of Design, and be responsible for:

  • Be the primary point person manage the creative pipeline, and ensure performance, consistency, and optimal workflow throughout the development process.
  • Organize internal procedures and manage the day-to-day operations of the team.
  • Create and implement a project management system to keep all team members on track and oversee the various stages of all client projects.
  • Negotiate, and foster communication across cross-functional teams while protecting the team from any unproductive disruptions.
  • Manage the creative pipeline including assisting with ticketing, scheduling and developing timelines with key milestones, delivery and proper cataloging of assets.
  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving.
  • Evaluate, optimize and update processes to better align with the creative team's evolving needs and priorities.
  • Assist in consolidating feedback in creative reviews and effectively communicating changes to the creative team.
  • Continuously evaluate and communicate the status of ongoing projects, identify any bottlenecks or risks, manage expectations as needed.


  • 7-10 years experience preferably in the VFX space.
  • Seeking candidates with strong technical skills and a problem-solving drive.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the development team, as well as the creative and art departments.
  • Knowledge of Agile approaches to project management.
  • Proactively anticipate and remove impediments to keep teams highly productive.
  • Excellent skills and knowledge of management and facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • Knowledge of 3D, production pipeline and VFX techniques/technologies highly preferred.
