Our client, a financial technology company, is looking for a Multimedia Designer/Videographer to join their team for a long-term contract.

Multimedia Designer/Videographer responsibilities:

  • Producing creative, meaningful, and compelling visual narratives that connect current and prospective customers with products and solutions.
  • Helping to take a brand to the next level by ensuring that all creative deliverables uphold brand standards and strategy.
  • Creating and developing new and innovative brand programs for both internal and external audiences.
  • Creating and developing new and innovative brand programs for both internal and external audiences.
  • Creating complex animated graphics and infographics, kinetic typography and video pre/postproduction.
  • Assisting in all areas of video production including videography, lighting and audio recording.
  • Researching and analyzing best design techniques and solutions to create motion graphics.
  • Designing and creating storyboards.
  • Concepting, laying out and designing enticing motion graphics videos for various media.
  • Collaborating with editors, producers, and other designers to resolve technical or design issues.
  • Editing raw video footage and add effects/elements (audio, video, colors, animation) to enhance video and motion graphics.
  • Participating in brainstorming sessions to share new design perspectives and ideas.
  • Maintaining and following best practices for version control, naming conventions and organization of graphic files.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge about the latest design and video techniques.
  • Meeting with internal clients or the creative/art director to determine the scope of a project; advise clients on strategies to reach a particular audience; working closely with copywriters to determine the message the design should portray.
  • Presenting design concepts/storyboards to internal clients and at times senior level management
  • Communicating expectations to management and parties responsible for the project.
  • Adjusting project workflow and schedules to facilitate priority projects.
  • Coordinating creative and production processes for marketing projects with outside vendors.

Multimedia Designer/Videographer Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in design or film or a visual-arts-related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of related interactive design and video experience.
  • Well-versed in video editing software: Final Cut, Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • Advanced knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Ability to comprehend and visually communicate complex concepts.
  • Exceptionally strong knowledge of systemic problem solving and visual hierarchy.
  • Great storytelling and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with multiple projects and priorities that change frequently.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across multiple departments and all levels of management.
  • Creative thinker exhibiting a range of varied styles and techniques.
  • In-depth knowledge/experience in animation and video production techniques.
  • Working knowledge of sound mixing and color correction.
  • Strong understanding of post-production workflow and the latest production technology.
  • Solid understanding of video formats and compression techniques.
  • Knowledge of typography and appropriate use of brand colors, images and fonts, allowing for effective legibility and functionality.
  • Manage the workflow on creative projects to ensure timely production.
  • Proficient in Mac and Windows platforms.
  • Solid understanding of copyright rules and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and teaming skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments.
