Desktop Technician

Onward Search is hiring a Desktop Technician to work directly with our financial services client in Irvine, CA.

Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Desktop Technician to join our team in Irvine, California. As a Desktop Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing computer systems, hardware, and peripherals. You will be responsible for documenting, maintaining, upgrading, and replacing hardware and software systems, ensuring seamless operations within our organization. This role also involves providing end-user support for LAN-based applications, offering timely solutions to hardware and software problems, and assisting in the installation and configuration of workstations.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance and Repair:

• Maintain and troubleshoot computer systems, hardware, and peripherals.
• Analyze and diagnose issues to ensure efficient operations.
• Effectively repair and replace faulty hardware and software components.

• Document hardware and software configurations.
• Maintain and upgrade computer systems to meet organizational needs.
• Replace outdated or malfunctioning hardware and software as required.

• Provide support for LAN/WAN connectivity issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity problems.
• Ensure the optimal functioning of operating systems and LAN-based applications.

• Recommend hardware and software upgrades or replacements as needed.
• Schedule and oversee necessary repairs and upgrades.

• Install and configure workstations for end-users.
• Ensure that workstations meet performance and security requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 4-6 years of experience as a Desktop Technician or similar role.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing computer hardware and software.
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN connectivity and operating systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
