We’re looking for a great content designer/content strategist! You’ll focus on researching, creating and delivering information that people find truly valuable. Working closely in a cross-functional team alongside an Interaction Designer and Visual Designer, the Content Designer will manage the messaging component of the concept test team, led by a Digital, Product Manager. You will come up with concepts and write copy for both the initial tests and the ultimate consumer-facing executions. Of course, you will have in-depth experience in developing compelling, personalized stories across many different types of customer experiences and content. Your role includes everything from the concept test to Agile sprint planning, to designing/conducting/synthesizing primary and secondary research, to the messaging and presentation of user-facing content.

You’re an inspirational, collaborative, creative thinker and also capable of being the champion of the Content Design function a pushing other in the discipline to new levels of performance.

Skills:

  • Design user research approaches participate in user testing and synthesize user research into actionable insights.
  • Determine information architecture and content structure (e.g. sitemaps, content models, content templates, pattern libraries).
  • Establish a tone of messaging and communication principles for customer experiences in alignment with the brand.
  • Provide guidance on information hierarchy and content layout.
  • Craft the overall story arch to be conveyed throughout customer experiences

 

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years in Content Design, 2 of them as functional lead or manager. Deep expertise in defining clear content, communication and storytelling principles.
  • Expertise in designing, executing and synthesizing user research across various methodologies (ethnography, resonance testing, surveys, intercepts, etc.).
  • Proficient in designing, executing and synthesizing competitive and comparative analysis.
  • Able to distill elaborate sets of information into simple, concise story-driven insights.
  • Agile (e.g., Scrum, sAFe) and/or Lean experience.
  • Broad knowledge and experience with driving and applying user-centered design processes while working collaboratively with customers, along with cross-functional teams including business owners, engineering and product management.
  • Firm understanding of service and product design methodologies.
  • Able to work with complementary design disciplines including Design Research, Visual Design, and Interaction Design.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to putting the user first.
