Onward Search has a client who is a nationally recognized agency is looking for a Digital Media Planner. In this role, the Digital Media Planner will develop solutions to complex problems by working with team members to plan/schedule/arrange and own activities. This position is responsible for leading digital media planning and buying efforts within assigned campaigns.

The Digital Media Planner effectively interacts with internal and external teams across several advertising disciplines including media, account, creative, billing, and traffic.

Skills:

  • Lead communication with media partners, sales contracts, and agency contacts across multiple offices.
  • Ensure planning team has followed all planning procedures and all approvals have been obtained for digital media efforts, such as:
    • Client approval of media estimates.
    • Directing a separate traffic team to ensure digital buys are implemented properly for tracking and reporting purposes.
  • Accountable for digital media planning and buying responsibility for assigned campaigns supporting the regional event- and model-focused retail initiatives.
  • Develop digital media campaigns, which will involve negotiation, implementation, tracking, and optimization of digital campaign elements including most or all of the following: online display banners and video, site-direct buys, online ad networks/DSPs, behavioral targeting, rich media, mobile, and coordination of budget tracking.
  • Assist with overall strategy development gathering research and outlining strategy and tactics necessary to achieve overall campaign goals.
  • Master advanced use of online media campaign/tracking tools including DoubleClick’s MediaVisor/ DART and proprietary agency billing system.
  • Train and educate Media Planners/Buyers within the department providing them with guidance and instruction necessary so they can be a contributing member of the digital media team.
  • Create POVs and evaluation documents, justifying the use of specific strategies and agency partners in accomplishing clients overall marketing goals.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on assigned campaigns developing materials and presenting them directly to clients.
    • Coordinate with digital account team on creative asset needs/availability and appropriate landing page/linking for individual media placements as setting up in MediaVisor/DART.
    • Work with Digital Media Billing team in Fort Lauderdale, making sure vendors are receiving correct payment.

Requirements:

  • 4-year undergraduate degree in advertising, marketing, media, digital media, or similar.
  • 4+ years of digital media planning experience REQUIRED.
  • Experience with tools such as Atlas, Seizmik, DoubleClick, Quantcast, TubeMogul, Prisma or similar.
  • A self-starter with the ability to quickly learn and take on new responsibilities.
  • Eagerness to take ownership of assigned tasks and work with a broader agency team as a digital media expert.
  • Demonstrated presentation and writing skills.
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook with the ability to learn new computer systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with people at all levels of an organization.
  • Proven leadership abilities and managerial experience.
