Direct Mail Marketing Manager

Onward Search is looking for a candidate with several years of experience in direct marketing planning, postal mail circulation and production, preferably working for a large US retailer. He/She should exhibit excellent technical and communication skills and thrive on managing production-oriented tasks.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Day to day campaign operations management
  • This position supports campaign execution and operations (100%) for the Direct Mail team, and reports to the Senior Manager of Direct Marketing
  • Learning and implementing all existing campaign processes
  • Inputting new projects into project management tool and schedule creator
  • Requesting project estimates from print partners
  • Routing postage requests
  • Detailing out the differences between creative versions, tracking the evolution of the creative versioning and making sure updates are being captured
  • Project management of multiple, complex, and concurrent projects
  • Coordinating with all stakeholders to ensure that all deliverables/ timelines are being met
  • Managing both creative and data deliverables to ensure they are being completed on schedule
  • Tracking the evolution of campaigns and ensuring all adjustments to creative, segmentation and testing are captured and executed
  • Audit of all campaign and process steps to ensure flawless execution and fulfillment:
  • Act as liaison to outside vendors to cleanse, finalize and deliver mail files for all direct mail programs


  • 4-5 years of experience working on the Direct Mail program, managing complex catalog production and large distributions
  • 4-5 years of experience in quantitative marketing, managing advanced campaign segmentation and large circulation projects
  • Must thrive on managing processes, be self-motivated and work independently
  • Retail and/or eCommerce highly recommended
  • Familiarity with program results analysis is a plus
  • Stellar project management skills and very familiar with best-in-class team collaboration tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing or related field
