Onward Search is looking for a Director of Influencer Marketing to join our prominent agency client in Raleigh for an onsite contract-to-hire/direct hire role!

Please Note: This role sits onsite in Raleigh, North Carolina but qualified candidates from the Central and Eastern time zones who are willing to move to Raleigh are strongly encouraged to apply.

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a Director of Influencer Marketing to lead rapidly growing influencer marketing service offerings at the agency
  • We require a strategic thinker and doer who has at least two years of influencer marketing planning, negotiation, campaign execution and measurement, and five years working at an agency in PR and/or digital communications
  • Successful candidates will have experience working across multiple platforms, mediums and industries, with a hunger to exceed goals and a passion to grow influencer marketing at the agency

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with clients and perspective clients to understand needs and objectives
  • Collaborate closely with teams on influencer marketing ideation, strategy, and proposals for both campaign and evergreen activations for influencers and creators
  • Lead research, outreach, negotiation and manage both paid and organic influencer marketing activations
  • Facilitate gifting programs and the development of awesome experiences for influencers
  • Work with paid media team to leverage paid budget to amplify influencer content
  • Test and incorporate the latest influencer marketing best practices
  • Stay up to date with FTC and influencer marketing guidelines, ensuring that client campaigns and influencers are compliant
  • Ensure proper measurement is in place to measure against agreed upon campaign KPIs, working with analyst and developers as needed
  • Educate and empower account executives to execute influencer marketing campaigns
  • Develop and nurture influencer relationships
  • Act as the influencer marketing subject matter expert at the agency
  • Lead communications with high level client contacts
  • Participate in new business pitches

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years working at an agency in an influencer marketing capacity
  • 5-8 years working in PR, social media strategy, digital marketing, or in a similar capacity at an advertising/marketing agency
  • BS or BS degree from an accredited institution
  • Strong interest in social media and influencers
  • Outstanding oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to think critically and problem solve
  • Desire to collaborate, brainstorm and strategize initiatives based on client goals
  • Ability to stay highly organized and work efficiently in a fast-paced work environment
