Onward Search is hiring an experienced Director of Marketing who will be a hands-on leader with overall responsibility for creating and implementing the firm’s strategic marketing plan.

Director of Marketing Summary:

  • The Director of Marketing will be a hands-on leader with overall responsibility for creating and implementing the firm’s strategic marketing plan with a current financial background which is a MUST!
  • This person will play a critical role in partnering with the leadership team to create community opportunities for likeminded clients who have similar needs and share special interests and common experiences.

  • Primary Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the leadership team to design the marketing plan. Activation and management of the plan
  • Experience & Content - strategy, design, development, packaging and mgmt
  • Program development
  • Strategic partnerships affinity program, curation and co-branding
  • SignatureCOMMUNITIES
  • Design, implement, and facilitate the annual marketing plan and budget for each initiatives. Social media oversight and training
  • Marketing liaison: manage the relationship with our marketing agency and vendors/consultants to execute programs
  • Develop and administer community database with marketing manager: client and prospect information, mailing lists, special interests, events, etc.
  • Public relations: help create and maintain an excellent public image for the firm, increase awareness of the communities and spread our message through the various media outlets. Cultivate media relationships
  • Support business development activities: assisting advisors in strategic planning for client presentations, proposals, initiative activities as well as coaching for prospective client meetings, presentations, etc.
  • Design, implement, and facilitate methods for tracking client satisfaction including but not limited to client satisfaction surveys, client development activities such as focus groups or seminars; client advisory boards; and, client appreciation events

Desired Experience/Education:

  • BS/BA in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive marketing & communications experience
  • Advanced social media skills
  • Content driven marketing experience
  • Experience working with the media and PR efforts
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Entrepreneurial, self-starter with hands-on approach

  • The client is unable to support 1099 / Corp-to-Corp or Independent Contractor arrangements at this time. All freelancers will be paid as W2 employees.
