As the Director of Paid Search, you will partner with the Senior Director of Digital Marketing and Senior Manager of Search (SEO) to lead the SEM strategy and execution to acquire new customers for our B2B tech firm client. The Director of Paid Search will have the ability to operate on both a quantitative and qualitative level, touching all aspects of the SEM ecosystem with advanced skills in keyword management and research, campaign & ad group structuring, CPC bid strategies, competitive intelligence, text ad & landing page testing, and performance analytics.


  • Implement best practices for campaign structure, keyword research & expansion, ad copy writing, etc. to help drive continued innovation across multiple paid search accounts
  • Identify and generate reporting on KPIs & data trends; translate data into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Innovate and expand remarketing strategies across ad platforms
  • Design and execute A/B tests for ad copy and landing pages to further optimize performance & user experience
  • Research and evaluate competitors using in-platform and third-party tools to find areas of opportunity
  • Proactively seek out and keep up to date on latest industry news & trends, as well as partnering with vendors to access beta programs
  • Calculate and forecast quarterly impressions, click volume, inquiries and marketing qualified leads based on existing vs optimized conversion rates
  • Experience directly managing an annual budget of over seven figures
  • Manage day-to-day relationship and execution with media agency

Skills and Experience:

  • BA/BS or equivalent working experience
  • 6+ years proven experience in an SEO or relevant digital marketing role, experience working with large websites a plus
  • Strong proficiency using Google AdWords, Bing Ads & Yahoo Gemini ad platforms
  • Experience managing day-to-day performance enhancement on bid management platforms such as Aquisio, Marin or Kenshoo
  • Core skillset in paid search campaign construction, keyword research, ad copy writing & A/B testing, with the ability to implement optimizations at scale
  • Exceptional technical and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Thorough understanding of audience marketing & implementation – CRM lists, Lookalikes, RLSA & display remarketing strategies
  • Experience with social ad platforms a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office – especially Excel and PowerPoint – to assist with reporting and presentations
  • Experience reporting on ROAS metrics out of
  • Experience navigating & interpreting web analytical tools (i.e. Google Analytics) is required


  • The client is unable to support 1099 / Corp-to-Corp or Independent Contractor arrangements at this time. All freelancers will be paid as W2 employees.
