Our client, a financial services and real estate lender, is looking for a Director of Social Media with 7+ years of experience.

The Director of Social Media will be responsible for leading, driving and executing a category-defining social presence and measurable social currency that connects the brand with our target audiences. The perfect candidate, you will have the right combination of ambition, judgement, creative ideas and strategic thinking to infuse their brand narratives into the marketplace, generate followers, engage consumers and capture measurable buzz. The role reports into the Senior Director of Presence & Publicity.

Your Responsibilities

  • Launch of our new brand into the social sphere to help build brand awareness and engagement.
  • Lead/Build and manage execution of social media programs that include a robust content strategy, paid influencer marketing, paid and nonpaid expert engagement, content distribution, creative strategy, editorial calendar management and SEO integration.
  • Oversee external SEO consultant expert to ensure all content is leveraged with the expressed goal of driving SEO.
  • Oversee social media strategy for all published content including the company website, events, and brand extensions across platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Instagram Stories, Tumblr, and Flipboard.
  • Translate the brand/ storytelling style and voice to social platforms creating shareable content that remains true to the brand.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage the existing and evergreen content from our blog and other sources.
  • Oversee publishing and monitoring of daily content (original text, images, video) that builds meaningful connections and encourages followers.
  • Create detailed monthly social media editorial calendars that include campaigns, events, themes, product launches and other key programs to increase engagement and drive share of voice
  • Work with Director of Research to stand up social measurement strategy including defining social listening tools and detailed dashboard.
  • Define all required technology tools to support a best-in-class social strategy.
  • Oversee Video and Photography Specialist to shoot, edit and/or produce company and brand video assets as in-house resource or in collaboration with external resource partners.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in Social Media, Marketing Communications & PR
  • Need someone who executes and drives results -- that can see the big picture
  • Knowledge of relevant metrics for tracking Social Media campaigns, data from each platform and ROI, including an understanding of lead generation, conversion, and Google Analytics
  • Excellent writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrable social networking experience and social tools knowledge
  • You need to know how to write effective copy in a variety of different styles for the major social media channels, including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.
  • You need to be knowledgeable about and keep abreast of the fast-changing world of social and digital media. You must also monitor key competitor social media activities.
  • Experience with SEO and its relationship with Social Media
  • Proficiency in Social Media listening tools (Sysomos, Reddit, Meltwater, Spredfast, Brandwatch, Crimson Hexagon)
