Onward Search is on the hunt for a Director, Marketing Analytics for our cannabis client. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits.

You will report to the executive marketing team and be responsible for helping to drive traffic and retail performance by reviewing data, developing new analytics, gleaming insights and helping to deliver recommendations on how to continually improve our marketing campaigns. You will be part of the senior-most marketing discussions within the organization, will have exposure to executive management and will influence our marketing efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze all marketing efforts including the performance by individual ads, social media, retail store and brand campaign to identify successful elements and work to improve marketing performance.
  • Build modeling and analytics around the customer including lifetime value analysis and purchase propensity model.
  • Develop actionable insights and help formulate strategic direction of all marketing efforts.
  • Track and analyze large amounts of data to discover meaningful trends and present to key stakeholders of the organization.
  • Assist in the development of new reporting standards and methods.
  • Identify customer trends and recommend data-driven responses to help guide strategy and decision making within the Marketing organization.
  • Assist in the creation of compelling, persuasive presentation materials to communicate key learnings and recommendations to senior level executives clearly and concisely.
  • Support marketing team with reporting, analytical insights and make strategic recommendations related to the media performance and marketing support for each store/market, ad, and campaign.
  • Assist in the management of dashboards and analytics that communicate status and evaluate the effectiveness of all ads, promotions, offers, and campaigns.
  • Manage, track and analyze all marketing related test campaigns and initiatives.
  • Assist in the design and execution of key test which will drive the development of insights.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Finance, Business or Marketing.
  • 5 years of analytics experience, with 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Experience in analytics across merchandising, retail marketing, digital media, and consumer trends.
  • An expert level analysis in cross-channel marketing, social media, paid search and customer acquisition.
  • Experience with Data modeling – ability to understand large complex data sets.
  • Knowledge or experience with SQL and Business Intelligence solutions.
  • Experience working at a Startup and/or eCommerce business is essential.
  • Experience within the fashion, retail or beauty products industry is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and departments.
  • Excellent project management capabilities.
