Our client a top beauty company located in SF is looking to hire an Email Marketing and Automation Specialist for a temporary assignment that should last at least till the end of the year. This person will help with the deployment & ongoing support of our new Salesforce Marketing Cloud, particularly Email Journeys and Automations. This role will help drive customer engagement and retention and support their business objectives. Experience working with lifecycle marketing and email automation will be key to their success.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the deployment of new Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Journeys & Automations to drive customer onboarding, retention, engagement, cross-sell, winback and other lifecycle marketing initiatives
  • Scoping and documenting business requirements, leading email creative development, and partnering with cross-functional teams to execute
  • Support test & learn efforts to optimize email campaigns and offers
  • Support email measurement and reporting
  • Identify business opportunities to develop new email automations & journeys to achieve business objectives
  • Introduce best practices from previous work experience in lifecycle marketing & email automation, including processes


  • 5+ years of work experience
  • Extensive experience in Lifecycle marketing, Email marketing & Email automation
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud / ExactTarget experience strongly preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Flexible, entrepreneurial attitude
  • Experience partnering with IT and Product Management
  • BA or BS degree in Marketing and/or Communications preferred


  • The client is unable to support 1099 / Corp-to-Corp or Independent Contractor arrangements at this time. All freelancers will be paid as W2 employees.
