Onward Search is hiring an Email Marketing Lead on a direct-hire basis for an international fashion retail client. This position is fully remote.

As the Lead, Lifecycle Marketing you will be responsible for the development and execution of strategies to increase customer retention, loyalty, and lifetime value. This person will work cross-functionally with creative, site development, design, and broader marketing team to help ideate, build and execute compelling email and mobile campaigns.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable thinking strategically as well as rolling up their sleeves and executing. This role will suit an individual who is highly analytical, organized, and a self-starter who works well cross-functionally and is an excellent communicator.

This role will report to our Sr. Manager, Retention Marketing, and serve as a strategic thought partner in building out our email marketing strategy. They will need demonstrated analytical ability to leverage data to inform insights, formulate recommendations and deliver actionable solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage lifecycle, triggered, and transactional messaging across email and mobile for the company website
  • Become a "power-user" of the company website email service provider; build, test, and send emails via Bluecore.
  • Work cross-functionally with our marketing and creative teams to gather, develop, and build content for emails; write creative briefs, maintain email and retention marketing calendar.
  • Collaborate with web development and creative agencies to develop and build out new email and landing pages as needed.
  • Own file health and monitor deliverability. Interface with email, and other vendors to troubleshoot and enhance email performance.
  • Develop a strategy for email capture on-site and in our broader marketing programs. Work to grow file size for email and mobile.
  • Understand and help develop segmentation strategies; use internal data resources to filter and target appropriate segments.
  • Analyze customer data and generate actionable insights and retention strategies based on cohorts, customer segments, and lifetime value.
  • Work with the Acquisition Marketing team to develop a lens on the company website customer's journey; leverage customer journey mapping to increase retention and reduce churn
  • Compile and present weekly retention marketing reports covering KPIs such as email delivery, open, click, unsubs, and GMV, LTV, and churn.
  • Partner closely with DTC Leadership to ensure retention efforts align with overall business goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 7 years of relevant experience in email, CRM, and/or retention marketing
  • Experience with an enterprise ESP (Salesforce Marketing Cloud is preferred)
  • Experience with Bluecore is preferred
  • Proven track record of growing email and mobile channels for an eCommerce retailer.
  • Strong foundation with CRM/customer marketing programs, email marketing, and familiarity with analyzing customer Lifetime Value.
  • Experience with a DTC or customer loyalty program is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze data and elevate key insights to various internal audiences (cross-functional teams and company leadership), and the ability to apply data-driven thinking to create conversations.
